Our Privacy Philosophy

BabyTrack is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your family's data belongs to you and only you. We don't have accounts, we don't store your data on our servers, and we don't sell your information to anyone.

The Short Version

Your baby tracking data stays on your device and your personal iCloud. We use privacy-respecting analytics to improve the app, crash reporting to fix bugs, and RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases. That's it.

Services We Use

BabyTrack uses the following third-party services to function and improve:

iCloud

All your baby tracking data is stored locally on your device and synced via Apple's iCloud service. This enables seamless backup and family sharing while keeping your data under your control. Your data is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account—we never have access to it.

TelemetryDeck

We use TelemetryDeck for privacy-friendly analytics. This helps us understand how features are used so we can improve the app. TelemetryDeck is specifically designed to be privacy-first: analytics data is not linked to your identity and cannot be used to track you. No personal information or baby data is ever sent.

Sentry

We use Sentry for crash reporting. When the app crashes, Sentry collects technical information about what went wrong so we can fix bugs quickly. This includes device type, iOS version, and crash stack traces. No personal data or baby tracking information is included in crash reports.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat processes transaction data provided by Apple to validate purchases and manage subscription status. No personal baby tracking data is shared with RevenueCat. Only standard purchase information (such as transaction identifiers and product IDs) is processed.

Data We Don't Collect

To be absolutely clear, we do not collect:

  • Your baby's name, photos, or any personal details
  • Feeding, sleep, or growth tracking data
  • Your name, email, or contact information
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers that could be used to track you
  • Any data that could be sold to advertisers or data brokers

Family Sharing

When you share your BabyTrack data with family members, this is handled entirely through Apple's iCloud sharing infrastructure. We don't have access to who you share with or any shared data. Family members you invite can view and contribute to your baby's tracking data—you control who has access through iOS settings.

Your Rights

Since your data is stored on your device and iCloud account:

  • Access: Your data is always accessible to you directly in the app
  • Deletion: Delete the app to remove local data, or manage iCloud data through iOS Settings
  • Portability: Your data lives in your iCloud account, which you control

Children's Privacy

BabyTrack is designed for parents and caregivers to track their children's activities. The app does not collect any personal information from children. All data entered about children remains on the parent's device and iCloud account.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify you through the app.
